Election Commission clears code of conduct in 4 districts of Andhra Pradesh

On Friday morning, at around 8:30, Fany hit the shores of Puri in Odisha. This has damaged many houses. Thousands of trees and electric pillars fell. Water was flooded in the lower settlements. The speed  of air was 175 km / hour at the time when the storm hit the Puri coast, It reached 200 km / hour in some places. Meanwhile, two people have died.
Earlier, due to the Fany storm, the Election Commission clears the Code of Conduct from four districts of Andhra Pradesh- East Godavari, Visakhapatnam, Vijayanagram and Srikakulam. This decision was made to avoid hindrance in relief work.
Fany is now heading towards Bengal. The rains have started in Kolkata due to which Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has canceled all her two election meetings.
According to the Meteorological Department, this will head towards Bengal and then Bangladesh. The warnings related to this have also been issued in coastal areas of West Bengal. Earlier, in Odisha, 11 lakh people were evacuated from 15 districts as a precautionary measure. This is the most dangerous hurricane to hit Odisha in 20 years.
Naval spokesman Capt DK Sharma said in Delhi that the ships of Navy Sahyadri, Ranvir and Kadmat have been deployed with relief materials and medical teams.
Rail, road and air traffic in coastal districts has been completely closed. All flights to Biju Patnaik International Airport from midnight on Thursday are barred for 24 hours. The Kolkata airport will also be closed from Friday night till Saturday evening.
